From large retailers to locally owned shops, our two counties have everything!

Coweta and Fayette are fortunate to have a variety of shopping alternatives. From large retailers to locally owned shops, our two counties have everything. We advocate “buying local” because it benefits our community not only through increased tax revenue, but also by providing income to local store owners and employees. As a result, more money flows into the neighborhood, benefitting the community’s social and economic well-being.

Senoia Farmers Market

The Senoia Farmers Market offers a vibrant selection of fresh, locally grown produce, handmade goods, and artisanal products. Open seasonally, it provides an opportunity for the community to support local farmers, vendors, and artisans while enjoying the town’s charming atmosphere. The market is a popular destination for both locals and visitors, offering everything from fresh fruits and vegetables to unique gifts, drinks and baked goods. April – December, Saturdays 8:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.

Main Street Newnan Market Day

The Market Day, sponsored by Main Street Newnan, features around fifty unique booths with new sellers each month. Best-selling items include fresh vegetables, jams, honey, leather products, salsa, pottery, artwork, children’s clothing, hand-woven baskets, furniture, fiber art, and floral design. The event takes place in downtown Newnan on the first Saturday of every month from April through December from 10 am to 2 pm.

Coweta County Farmer’s Market

This market opens the second weekend in June and runs through the middle of October. Locally produced goods, like vegetables, fruits, honey, fresh cut flowers, and more, are available at the Coweta County Farmer’s Market. It takes place every week during the summer at two different local locations: on Saturdays at the Asa M. Powell Sr. Expo and on Wednesdays in the downtown area close to the courthouse square.

Night Market

Drake Field in Peachtree City hosts the Night Market, which features artists, food, music, and entertainment. The festival includes live music, food trucks, food booths, wine, mixed drinks, and craft beer in addition to artists and vendors of all kinds. The Night Market takes place throughout the year – check their website nightmarketptc.com for the latest schedule. The Night Market is sponsored by Jason Hunter Design and other local businesses.

SERVING LOCALLY SINCE 1965

Smith & Davis Clothing was founded in 1965 by Fred Smith and Ronald Davis. The store served the mostly rural communities of Fayette and Coweta Counties with work clothes, shoes, and dress apparel. In 1973, Mr. Davis acquired Fred Smith’s share of the company and kept running the store. Today, Mr. Davis’ children, Tony, George, and Beth all take part in the successful running of the business.

Smith & Davis has experienced changes in the times, trends, and even their location in the 59 years since it first opened. The initial relocation to a bigger space took place in 1979, and the current 20,000 square foot structure was constructed in 1988. The dedication to offering top-notch customer service and high-quality products is the one thing that hasn’t changed.

In recent years, the store has welcomed new faces into the buying, management, and marketing portions of the business. Like Tony always says, “I know my limitations”. Ted Patterson and Samuel Perez now handle the majority of the buying. Samuel is also in charge of the marketing department. They work together to manage the store.

Nearby Peachtree City is known for its abundance of runners and tri-athletes, and Smith & Davis has become a Running Specialist and is a trusted shoe source for runners in the area. Smith & Davis was also awarded the Top 25 Gold Medal Service award winners in ‘22 for the United States and #2 in Georgia by Footwear Insight Magazine.

Non-commissioned Run Specialists at Smith & Davis take the time to provide you with both what you want and what you need. The first step in the procedure is a foot scan using their Gait Analysis machine, which identifies the kind of arch and degree of pronation present in each runner. Everything here is intended to help you fit better into running, casual, work, and leisure footwear. This service has reached the ears (and feet) of doctors and physical therapists around the area.

But shoes aren’t the only thing they are known for – their clothing selection covers a wide range of choices. From heavy duty work wear to athletic, casual and dress clothing, they have it all.

The ladies’ side of the facility has developed into a more boutique-like presence, stocking the most in-demand top brands in outdoor wear along with the newest seasonal trends & accessories.

Do yourself a favor and visit Smith & Davis if you haven’t already. You’ll be surprised at volume and variety of clothing, shoes, accessories, and more hidden in this gem of a store, just outside of Peachtree City.
