Historic Downtown Senoia Car Show

A free annual automobile show featuring vehicles made in 1992 and earlier will take place on Main Street in Senoia’s historic district on September 21. During the judging period, which runs from 7 to 11 am, the Top 30 awards, Best in Show, and Dash Plaques are presented. A 50/50 drawing and door prizes are also offered. Tyrone GA Founders Day

For more than 40 years, the city of Tyrone has celebrated its anniversary with an annual celebration in the month of October. This year, the event will take place between October 4th 5th. The festival includes a 5k race, live music, parades, carnival rides, food trucks and vendors, plus many more activities. 100 Handley Road, Tyrone; 770-487-4694; TyroneFoundersDay.org

Frederick Brown, Jr. Amphitheater

A selection of table, theater-style, and lawn seating options are available at the Fred Brown, Jr. Amphitheater, also referred to as The Fred, which is situated in the heart of Peachtree City. Both emerging artists and national and international touring acts are featured at the outdoor venue. In the greater Atlanta area, no other venue can compare to the theater’s ability to provide 2,500 concertgoers with a unique and personalized musical experience. Acts that have performed there over the years include, Hall and Oates, Styx, Pat Benatar, Huey Lewis and the News, The Commodores, Melissa Etheridge, Foreigner, the Beach Boys, Clint Black, Blake Shelton, and many more. Senoia Raceway

The 1969-opened Senoia Raceway is a typical dirt track seen in small-town America. It’s a 3/8-mile oval, dirt track that’s located not far from Senoia’s center on Highway 16. It holds races for Legends, Modified Minis, Bombers, B Cadets, Hobby Stocks, Mini Stocks, Late Models, and Hobby Stocks. Coweta County Rodeo

The Coweta County Cattlemen’s Association oversees the Coweta County Rodeo, a civic group that helps the neighborhood’s cattlemen through educational initiatives. The rodeo will take place on May 17 and 18 at the Coweta County Fairgrounds. At the competition, almost 300 of the top pro rodeo competitors display their skills and prowess as working cowboys and cowgirls. Georgia Renaissance Festival

The Georgia Renaissance Festival recreates the English Renaissance of the 16th century. The nearby Fairburn event has been going on since 1986. The tournament is open for eight weekends in late spring and early summer. Over 150 highly skilled artisans produce anything from pottery to jewelry to metal work to apparel. A continuous entertainment schedule takes place on numerous stages and includes comedy, juggling, and music. Kiwanis Coweta County Fair

From September 12 through September 22, one of the biggest events in Coweta and Fayette will take place at the Coweta County Fairgrounds and Conference Center. The festival includes a lumberjack competition, rides, exhibits, music, livestock shows, and more. The site includes a 6,000 square foot conference center, an equestrian ring, and a nature center in addition to a 10,000 square foot agricultural facility. Fayetteville Amphitheater “The Ville”

The 1,500-seat outdoor music venue is located on LaFayette Avenue and is a part of the recently created entertainment district in Fayetteville. There is a 55-foot stage, table seating, tiered table seating, and numerous seats. The Commodores, Grand Funk Railroad, Atlanta Rhythm Section, 38 Special, Little River Band, Ziggy Marley, the Pointer Sisters, Kansas, Vince Gill, the Temptations, and The Charlie Daniels Band are just a few of the musical acts that have performed there. The Ville also hosts free family movie nights and local concert series. It is owned by the Fayetteville Downtown Development Authority, and it is run by the Main Street Tourism Association. Art Walk in Downtown Newnan

The Spring Walk is from 5 to 9 p.m. on March 22, while the Fall Art Walk is on September 20. Local art is celebrated during the Downtown Newnan Art Walk. View the works of at least 40 artists from a variety of artistic styles and mediums at more than 25 sites.

World War II Heritage Days

The Annual WWII Heritage is a living history event for the entire family that takes place at the Commemorative Air Force (CAF) Airbase Georgia and features re-enactors, WWII vehicles, vintage aircraft, authors, WWII Veterans, and displays. The two-day event is frequently conducted at Falcon Field, the historic airpower station of CAF Airbase Georgia, during the last week of April. July 4th in Coweta-Fayette

Shakerag Arts and Crafts Festival

More than 100 merchants selling arts, crafts, and food from all across Georgia and its bordering states are present at this annual event. The Shakerag Arts & Crafts Festival sells a wide range of handcrafted items, such as jewelry, home decor, and other items for the garden.
